Account Director – New Role

MediaFace is a boutique storytelling agency. We’re seeking an ambitious and energetic Account Director to join our team. 

We’re looking for an experienced, get things done type of person who loves to work with clients and wants to make a difference. Reporting to the President, the Account Director is creative, but also has business knowledge and a strategic mindset. The role needs a natural collaborator who will work with internal and external staff to develop our often integrated solutions. 

The role of Account Director is a new role for us, so if you see yourself in at least 75% of the qualifications, we’d love to talk.

You likely have an entrepreneurial spirit spotting opportunities before they exist for your current clients and for our team.

You’ll be responsible for day-to-day account management and relationships. With the know-how to handle client conversations, you’ll anticipate their needs and be a trusted advisor. You know how to achieve strategic goals and objectives while delivering on-time and within budget.

Using your excellent communications skills, you’ll collaborate with the team and write client proposals, RFPs and estimates.

What will you do?

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members
  • Accountable to deliver on-time and on-budget
  • Write proposals and RFPs
  • Analyze market research to identify new business opportunities
  • Prepare accurate estimates and invoices
  • Work with the Finance department 
  • Work with MediaFace’s partners to pitch new business
  • Generate leads and develop new accounts
  • Contribute positively to agency culture 


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? 

  • A minimum of six years of experience in an agency
  • A thorough understanding of the production process (video, animation, etc.)
  • Proven experience working on integrated projects
  • Strong history of driving results and surpassing client expectations
  • Solid budget management experience
  • A natural problem solver 
  • A dynamic leader, and inspiring mentor 
  • A strategic thinker, who has opinions and vision 
  • A service attitude 


This role is a full-time position and will begin as remote and will shift to blended or fully in office. Occasional travel within the GTA to meet with a wide variety of clients will be required. For the next three months as we all adjust to COVID, we are willing to offer flexible hours, or offer the role to someone who wants a role at 60% or more.
